Penryn Guest House Stratford upon Avon

We had a ground floor apartment which was a little small for my wheelchair but it was clean, quiet, warm & well appointed, with pleasant staff and owner an good parking. Would certainly recommend for those who can walk. For wheelchair users, access to front door needs improving and WC and wash-basin are not easy to get to. But the owners have clearly made considerable efforts to help as many people as possible benefit from a short stay at the guest house.

This was a last minute booking for us and we didn't know what we would get, but we were very pleasantly surprised! Other than being a little bit hard to notice in the dusk, everything was very nice. The room was spacious and well appointed with new fixtures. The owners had taken time to add extra electrical fixtures on all surfaces, and the bed was comfortable. This is a guest house so there are others in the nearby suites, so we could hear a little noise, but nothing that bothered us or kept us awake. They provided washcloths, which is unusual in the UK and something as an American that I appreciated since we didn't have our own. It was blessedly cool during our stay and so having no AC wasn't an issue, but might have been a week earlier when the temps were 31C. The owner was very attentive although we had few needs. This guest house is an easy mile walk from the town center in Stratford upon Avon and we made it 4x in a 24 hr period without problems. I would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant Guest House, we were impressed by the well ordered and attractive way the room was decorated. Very clean. Shower was a good size and and the plumbing worked a treat. Being on the first floor we had a beautiful view from the front of the house of the trees along the roadway. Night time was punctured occasionally by the sound of the odd car going by taking advantage of the empty road but not distracting enough to be a nuisance. We only booked the room so cannot comment on the breakfasts but judging by the look on their website, it all looks very good. Well done !

The room was very spacious and as we had a dog it was nice there was a second door to sound secure from the hallway. The bed was so comfy and a great selection of hot drinks and biscuits. It was really easy for self check in and it felt like a family home. I’ll definitely come back Thankyou!

Excellent location 15 minutes walk from the town centre. Our room was spacious with an additional room with table and seating. Comfortable bed and a sink, fridge, microwave and toaster plus a large shower. All clean and fresh. Lots of coffee, tea and milk with biscuits and some cereal boxes. Communication was good. We would definitely stay here again.

Interesting place!!! This is not a hotel in the traditional sense, you don't need to interact with anyone. You simple get a code to get through the front door then a code for your room door. There is no bar or eating area. Communication via message very quick & helpful so no issues there. Location also very good, around a 15 - 20 minute walk in the center of Stratford. Room was large with a big shower/toiler room & an additional room so plenty of space, could do with a little TLC but i'm being picky. Overall a great value property.

Lovely clean, quiet room with adjoining single bedroom/dining room. Bathroom with super shower. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk. Microwave and Toaster. Although we never saw the owners we had good communication with them via email. Key codes to front door and bedroom are sent on check in day. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Lovely bright and clean room. Bed is comfortable I didn't want to get out. Plenty of tea/coffee milk and sugar available, and the chocolate chip cookies are a lovely treat with a steaming cuppa. Bath towels, hand towels and flannels are soft, clean and plenty of them to use. Products smell amazing. Short distance to town, straight walk and can't help but look at some lovely homes. Definitely stay here again.
